YT eMTB rented from the Bike Inn. Sunny, warm but cooler, actually chilly in the morning but it warmed up nicely later on. The wind was not a factor in the woods. Really nice MTB park, Dave and I stuck to the Green trails as this was his first time riding an MTB and my first time on an eMTB. As usual on trail ratings, there were only a couple of spots that were harder than green so ratings were pretty fair. We did a few sections twice and rode up Pedal Assist (paved but pretty hard climbs) to the really crazy hard jumps, some with drops of 30-40 feet. After one ride, not a fan of the eMTB. I feel like the assist comes at the wrong time and the incredibly heavy bikes throw off the handling. If I get to the point where I need a eBike in the future, it won't be one of these - I'll give up mountain biking and just keep the fat bike. Regardless, Dave and I kept the bikes in ECO mode so we still worked hard and had a good time. Times were slower because we weren't familiar with the bikes or the trails. I probably would have ridden about the same speed as on my FUEL EX.
