Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

The weather has cleared up for the past 2 days. Today was a bit windy with clear skies. It was just cool enough to have to wear arms and knees with one base layer. Out the door, my legs felt pretty good. I took it easy, as usual, until I reached the end of OTR. I kept the tempo moderate as I ascended the Banducci wall and summit. No digs in that portion. Again my legs felt pretty good. The descent off of Banducci was a bit dangerous, as the wind was a bit turbulent. The winds were from the North, so I had a headwind on the way out. I continued moderate tempo until I reached the top of SS. I made a dig over the top of SS. I reached the tunnel in just over an hour, and around 1:05 exiting SS. I was able to hold fairly good tempo to Pelliser. The winds were more of a crosswind, so it was tough to push things into high tempo. My legs started to feel fatigued at this point. I felt ok going up the last climb. I stopped at the top of the CVR climb to clear my nose. My towels stayed in my pockets, thank goodness. After that, I maintained modest tempo all the way back home, no heroics, just nice and steady. I did average time 1:50. Which is good for a day like today. Now for concentration. It really never stuck today. I felt squirly eyed at times and my concentration just never lasted for over 10 minutes without lapses. I've no clue why, I felt good out of the door, but it all went south just as I was summitting Banducci. Fortunately, I was able to make it home in one piece. Days like today are the ones where mishaps occur. A little wisdom paid off. Gear is working well, no serious mishaps. A slight skip of the chain, as if a chain link didn't engage. I dropped my chain as I was exiting route 202. That was due to the fact that I was doing 35+mph and I ran over some bumpy terrain. So, no fault of the componentry. I was able to shift it back onto the inner chain ring, then outer, and continued.
