Great Chain Disaster of 2024

Going out on patrol with the Sarge to Taplow did not go well. There was a bad omen in the Costa gents when my trouser button popped off - an omen which I chose to ignore. Having cleared Burnham Beeches and cycling up Pumpkin Hill my chain suddenly snapped. Oh calamity I thought - who on earth carries a chain repair kit with them let alone knows how to use it - the answer is Jim Swan !! Hoorah for Jim. After quite a bit of effort by Jim, Alan Potter and the Sarge my bike was sort of hobbled togther to work in one gear. Luckily the ride was mostly flat so I was able to make it to lunch and then the return trip to Uxbridge. My apologies to everyone for the delay.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
