Great day for riding. In the upper 70's, cool winds from the North West. The legs felt pretty good from the start. I think I made it to the end of OTR in good average time. The wind was mostly East-bound. I tried to keep the tempo steady, and no red-lining it. I was in the saddle most of the time, on the outbound. After reaching the turn-around point, I downshifted and cruised in moderate tempo for the first few minutes. I then, gradually increased the tempo till I was just above moderate tempo. More or the same for the remainder of the return trip. After reaching the return on OTR, it was mostly fun and games. Concentration was good. I was quizzing myself on a few computer topics. It definitely kept me occupied and focused. Suffice it to say, I was in the zone. Ailments... I had modest soreness in the lower back going into the ride. I felt better on the bike than off. Otherwise, no other ailments. Balance and form felt good. Gear is working great. Other notes, I saw one other cyclist today.
