Temps in the 70s a third of the way into the 11th month? Well then, yes, yes we will do a pavedirt ride. Got alllll the climbing done in the first 10 miles, but it's pretty clear the August legs have given way to the April legs. Not sure when that happened but they are definitely NOT feeling like they were a month or two ago. Sigh. Really good to be back on a roadie-style bike and able to cruise along with eyes not glued to the road/trail/path. Last few miles of the towpath were quite tedious, though the green tunnel is gone and you can actually see the terrain and the river and other stuff that's invisible when everything is leafed out. Lovely Veteran's Day evening and surprisingly few people out on the towpath. Total of about 18 miles of dirt and the rest pavement.
