Frisky Flushing

I was feeling surprisingly good today, the miles flowing by effortlessly. The original plan was to do 40, but the icy northeast wind of 10-15 dampened my motivation considerably. Even with temps in the mid to upper fifties, once the sweat starts soaking through, riding back into the wind is a less than pleasurable experience. With no sun due to the 100% cloud cover, there was little chance of relief.

At least the ride was spirited and satisfying. And I finally figured out the poor rear derailleur shifting to smaller cogs. It seems the derailleur needed to be moved slightly away from the centerline. This was done by turning the rear barrel adjuster 1/2 turn clockwise as viewed from the back.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
