Farley 9.6. Clear and sunny at the start but mostly to fully cloudy by the last hour, in the 40's with a high of 49, strong West winds @ 12-14 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. I dressed in full winter kit and that was a good call, as feels like temps got down into the low 30's. I only saw a couple of other riders but after Noon there were a few hikers and trail runners. I saw two very fluffy Coyotes. CAMBR MTB trails were closed after late night rain so I rode mostly on the Forest Preserve unpaved trails, which in most cases were gravel and sometimes grass. I did check out the MTB trails a little bit - they seemed fine and when I checked Trailbot, they had opened them up after Noon. For future reference, stay off the trails North of Hidden Pond Woods and especially Buffalo Woods - they are horse trails and completely a mess. Horseback riders will generally ride in any conditions, so wet areas are a collection of mud and hoofprints. Light lunch and a couple of draft ciders at Irish Legend after the ride.
