This loop ride begins and ends in Milford, NH at the Toadstool Bookshop parking lot. A short ride on Rt 101A brings you to Ponemah Hill Road, then to Emerson, then to Federal Hill Road. The Monson Center is on Federal Hill Road. You'll no doubt have noticed The Hampshire Dome, and the Tractor at Grandview Farm. From the Monson Center continue on an UNPAVED section of Federal Hill to Hayden and then Rocky Pond. At the end of Rocky Pond, near the transfer station, the first penny of this ride series was found. There are some food services at the intersection of 122 and 130 in Hollis. Heading south on 122, take a side trip on Ridge Road to the Beaver Brook Association nature center at Drown Lane. Head back to 122 and south to the MA boarder with a monument and a garden center. Back roads avoid Pepperell and Brookline Road to bring you back into NH at Brookline. Follow 130 across 13 to find a covered bridge and a lighthouse. Then onward, and UPward to the [NH16] Brookline (Pvt) airport, and Parker's Maple Barn. Then on to Uncle Sam's House! and you thought Troy, NY had a lock on that.... Mason has a nice town common. Meetinghouse Road brings you to Wilton Road and then to Starch Mill Road, which is UNPAVED. Following Starch Mill you'll find the Russell-Abbott State Forest just after Pratt Pond Road. I didn't take the trip but you may want to, to Pickity Place, follow Pratt Pond to Batchelder to find Pickity Place, setting for little red riding-hood cottage and restaurant. Turning onto Abbot Hill Road, which may as well be unpaved, heads you towards a hill, and the ride start. Mason road brings you into Milford, onto Osgood and Union where there is a Little Library. Then to the traffic oval with many services and a memorial to children reading. Rt 101A returns to the parking lot at Toadstool.
