So (too) many Teslas! It’s a running joke of ours to see a Tesla and remark, as though it’s unique, “Oh look. A Tesla.” Today, though, it was over the top how many we saw. Usually clustered together or in a line. Last week we saw four white Model Y’s in a row. 🤮 This morning started off with a "bad omen" as we found what looked like a dead Monarch butterfly, but was more likely a Viceroy, on the driveway as we got ready to go. The forecast last said it would be mild to warm in the afternoon but this morning the forecast changed. I originally dressed differently for the ride because it was sunny at my house when I left. On the way down to Bob’s it became overcast. Everyone kept mentioning a chance of rain but none of the weather forecasts I saw said anything about rain. Given the cloudy and cold conditions and the possibility of rain, I changed into my Perfetto jersey instead. I’m glad I did because the wind chill was pretty strong. We stopped off at Fleur de Cocoa in Los Gatos. My Chausson aux Pommes was pretty good. Pretty on par with my favorite from Mademoiselle Colette but this one isn’t as big. It’s almost half the size. Then we rode maybe 30 minutes to get lunch at Tacos al Pastor. I’m glad I didn’t get a second pastry so I was hungry for lunch. We didn’t really have a ride plan since we wanted to be flexible in case of rain. We ended up returning by the Los Alamitos Creek trail which I haven’t done before and went through some new South Bay neighborhoods that were pretty eclectic. So many different style homes next to each other.
