On this day last week I tried to go on the same journey , Sallins to Enfield but due to a gear cable breaking I had to give up and was home early , so this week I tried it again , going on the same complete track . Yahoo and I did iy with out any stoppages . It was so cold that at about 11 AM I was getting very cold and I diverted to Prosperous and had a cup of Capaccino . Anyhow it was an OK cycle apart from the fact that I could not find the front and back lights for the bike . I had removed all the additions from the bike as I was getting the gear cable renemed . I eventually found it . This happened when I had returned home and it was a sunny day and quite dangerous as I was quite hard to see if the sun was not with you . I saw some of the results of storm Eowyn . Just as you leave Longwood there were two trees across the River Blackwater and I could see that 3 feet of a timber telephone pole was suspended in mid - air by cable , and there were a lot of newly cut branches and trunks . But I thik they were all OK for powere and water . Such a disaster . On thw home in the train this gentleman from Nigeria started talking to me and another lad whom I did not know eventually talking about religion . Surprise , surprise! So I answered him back telling him that it was up to the induvidual to believe or not to believe . Then came all this shit about faith . So I answerewd that . He said he would think about it . So that shortened the journey . Anyhow it was a good cycle but very cold
