Posted this as an OGG event weeks in advance but per usual, it was just Dad and me! This was my final Pelotonia training ride and it served it's purpose for getting lots of quality saddle time. We had nice weather, though a little hotter and sunnier than we hoped. Only about 40% gravel and only a couple of "wow" roads. I probably wouldn't go back to do this one. That being said, there were some pretty nice ridge tops and even more noteworthy were the valleys. A couple of monster climbs (400-500 feet, Tater Knob is one of the hardest I've done) plus loooong gradual descents (it seemed like we descended forever into Rarden). Two creek crossings. Some amazing old growth forests. Stops at two convenience marts for ice and snacks.
Met two really nice local cyclists, Jim walking his dog in Peebles, and Stormy on his MTB who rode with us for a bit. Both were serious cyclists with tons of questions and were excited to see anyone out. They gave me their email addresses so I have to remember to reach out.
Wasn't completely dead at the end so I think I'm in good shape for Pelotonia. Saddle comfort wasn't great, so I'm hoping that's just the pair of shorts I was wearing.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
