Anthony leaves for London today to do the London Marathon this Sunday. It was both a bigger group and colder than I expected this morning.
I thought more people were going to participate in the Olive Hill Sprint but it was just Ron leading it out. I was behind him waiting for him to ramp it up. When his acceleration plateaued I sprinted by him and came close to matching my max watts that I did the last time I sprinted it with Natalie.
Before the ride, I had suggested to Anthony to change the return to avoid the busy left turns onto Sand Hill from Whiskey Hill and the left turn off of Sand Hill onto Santa Cruz. He decided not to.
I made all the lights down Sand Hill while the rest of the group was stuck. I just coasted the whole way and made the left onto Santa Cruz and waited at the next light for everyone. I waited and waited and realized they weren't coming. Why? Because it was too hard to get to the left turn onto Santa Cruz! I gave Anthony SO much crap for that!
I don't miss my Menlo Park, Caltrain, horn salute. It's the low light of the ride but getting too see so many people that I haven't seen in a while was the highlight.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
