Me and Aron's old pod/office mate, Greg is at Apple now so we can finally ride together. At least that was the plan before he got a 5p meeting today. It would've been his first time riding Skeggs. The trails are in really good condition right now. My condition - not so much. I actually think I was going faster in a lot of spots (letting go more on the descents) and clearing more tech that I normally don't. I may have gone out too hard? My lower back tightened up and made climbing not very fun. A combo of the discomfort and maybe going out too hard meant that I was making some mistakes that I wouldn't normally and didn't have the mental capacity for some of the tech. On the last climb something felt off with the drivetrain, like something was stuck causing resistance but I never stopped to check because I couldn't see anything when I looked down. I was too busy chasing Aron to want to stop either. Well turns out and had some twigs caught in my pulley wheels/cage. Oops. I guess I should've stopped. I've been wanting to bleed the brakes for a while now but thought I'd be okay riding it today. Well on the extended descents, the rear brake was getting quite long and I was in danger of chopping my fingers, that's how long the pull was getting. The front brake isn't that bad fortunately.
