I decided yesterday to do a short ride semi recovery ride. That's exactly what I intended to do, I maintained the same effort as I did yesterday but it felt easier so I kept it up. There was a 2.6 miles of unexpected road work surface. Had I known I would have done a different route. The road was temporary loose chip seal, I feared I would get a flat, I didn't. Once I turned off this road I stopped to clean off the tire. The rear was semi covered which was really fast removing all the small crushed rock, the front was saturated with these tiny stones, it took me a while to clean them off. I realized I was cleaning them of almost 3 complete revolutions, LOL! I found a tiny plastic whiskey bottle, used it to completely clean off the tire as a scraper while riding, it did a great job. The last half of the ride was a breeze! The only major pain I had was my neck. It seems the new routine of using the inversion table before and after rides helps my lower back. Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
