Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

I had an appointment for a flu shot today. I had to make a quick decision where to ride. I was originally planning to do the Tour de Teh (R) route. But when I got up, it was foggy out. I decided to do an indoor workout in stead. I found out a way to choose my own map. So, I decided to ride the Watopia Mountain Route. I had my eyes set on a one hour workout. I had enough time to climb to the radio tower and then warm down over a 5 to 10 minute period. It took about 20 minutes to warmup and start sweating. From that point on, I was doing in and out of the saddle intervals. I was able to put more wattages towards the last half of the climb. The body felt good. The mind was reasonably concentrated. Ailments, the ball of my right foot was a bit sore towards the summit. I adjusted my weight and eased back a hint. That seemed to keep it in check. Balance and form felt good. No leaning to one side. Gear is working good. Didn't take much time to get my stuff setup. Very little time wasted. Other notes, there were over 4000 cyclists when I first logged on.
