Wild camp in great basin to wild camp on Lander bypass. Surpassed 13500 miles so about half ways. Today was long and many ways. All the 10 miles of the ride was on Gravel, the wind was generally in our face (the first day I can say traveling north to south would’ve been beneficial.), my plugged rear tire from Rollins blue at 100 miles, a second plug blue at 5 miles so I had to put in a tube. Much of the last two days followed the Oregon Trail. I don’t believe the middle school game adequately captures how big and far and difficult this portion of the trail would’ve been at 1 mph. Spending 2+ weeks traveling what we biked in two days would be challenging beyond belief. Lack of water, steep, ravines, and endless horizon would have driven me nuts. Gracie has a new tire waiting for me in Pinedale, so I pushed longer today to ensure I can get it installed and be on my way tomorrow.
