Weather has been flukey in the NW and today was suppose to be the best for the next 4 days. Wanted a different route on Vashon so did some exploring and found a lot of isolated back roads but they had a lot of steep rollers. Hence the 5,128' of elevation. Extremely low tides and bigger trucks were being restricted from loading on Vashon. One trucker I talked to had been at the ferry dock since 10:00 am and was hoping to finally get on the 4:00 sailing. As a biker, I of course wizzed by all the cars waiting to load. Met some nice people on Vashon and the ferry boats. More to explore next week or a first ride up Rainer. Garmin died coming out of Gig Harbor and then I was able to get it started again near Olalla so lost about 4 miles of data. Legs really tired tonight. Thank goodness for a little assist. Finished with 57% battery so used it sparingly Data: Used 3% going up first hill. Came off south end of Vashon at 87%, was at 73% leaving Gig Harbor.
