This ride was part of a 2 1/2 day ride sponsored by Cascade Bike. I've done sedments of this first day many times but really signed up because tomorrow is a ride on Vashon Island. When the forecast is for 84% percipitation, that means that it will rain 84% of the time or more. It was steady light rain mixed with lots of Friday traffic. Couldn't keep my glasses from foggin up so rode part of time without glasses. Basically a pretty miserable ride considering all the factors. Heading back I kept thinking that it would be shorter for me to just go home and pick up the car after a hot shower and a nap. But I hung in despite the logical alternative. And tomorrow on Vashon,the forecast is for 90% percipitation. Yipee!! But I can bike smarter tomorrow by wearing plastic bags over my socks and by starting in rain pants etc.There were suppose to be 32 bikers signed up but at the morning check in, I doubt if there were 15 who show. The no showers shall be henseforth be considered as the smart riders. Data: I started from Gig Harbor in level 1 assist but went to level 2 on some of the steeper hill sections. Home with 28% battery left.
