Butte Red Lion to Moose Creek Campground ( Helena)MT After getting caught up restocked and cleaned up at the hotel in Butte, I was supposed to have a relatively easy day, which was true for the first 40 miles. Then steep climbs to a totally blown out trail with rocks ranging from toaster size to microwave size littered steep slopes. A lot of of hike, a bike.. Plus got off route for 3 miles of uphill backtrack.. Lessons learned today, I need to get a phone holder to give me navigation on my handlebars like everybody else has. I need to look for current Trail information look for closures and reroute since I believe I believe an alternate route was suggested for this section. On the upside, I rdr more of the rough terrain, than I expected, so everything else looks pretty tame by comparison.. A guy who was doing an Enduro race on Saturday let me share his site at the otherwise full campground. Also gave me pretzels and M&Ms, which were a treat.
