Brussels to Rotterdam

Very hard to get going early when the breakfasts offered in these auberges are so blimin good...would be rude not to have two.
So a bit late starting but a following wind and amazing cycle ways (everywhere!!) had me up the road to Antwerp in no time (bit smaller and tidier than Brussels). Further on again border crossing happened without knowing. A stop for lunch and a look at the map informed me I was in the Netherlands by 50m. Big afternoon for the legs but all good. Holland is certainly flat and looks very productive

He's called 'Lange Wapper' a mythical character from Flemish folklore and he stands outside the old castle called Het Steen by the Scheldt River.
