It drizzled most of the night but stopped early in the morning and we managed to take down a nearly dry tent. Riding out of town along Echo Lake and climbing the long hill up out of the valley we found a sweet tailwind almost all the way to Vibank. On the way we found a great little grocery store and coffee shop in Qu’Appelle and some interesting rock sculptures at a place called Aquatic Stone on the highway south of town. We were told it was the work of someone who made a lot of money in sand and gravel and found some interesting ways to use some of the screenings. I also found a surprise on my downtube when we made a pit stop about 10 kms before Vibank. I had had a puncture, it had re-sealed without any indication and without any appreciable loss of pressure. A lot of people are unsure about running road tubeless but this is the second time I have seen this and I am a believer!
