The Tour of the Litchfield Hills, August 3, 2014

Great ride with Blackrock Cycling Team for the 11th Annual Cancer Support Ride. I want to thank Kurt Kuegler for helping me connect with the team today and to John Leffingwell & Peter Thickett who I spend most of the ride with. I could not have asked for a better group of riders & people than these guys. Special thanks to John for not letting me bail on the 55 mile course after a very hilly 11 miles to start the course. I found my climbing legs today and felt stronger as the ride progressed and I hope I can keep my new found climbing abilities. Garmin was acting up today and should read around 3500ft of climbing and average ~17.4. This was a beautiful ride with some excellent paved roads, great scenery and one of the best supported rides with quality food & volunteers. Thanks again to Blackrock Cycling Team, Kurt Kuegler and my riding partners, John & Peter. Hope everyone recovered nicely and hope to ride again with you all.

    Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
