Going to the local CVS "the hard way".

It's about 25 miles by car and 33 miles by bike. The main road in WA along the river is too narrow and too busy for a bike. Instead, the bike route is actually incredibly scenic, and has lots of challenging climbs and great downhills. This was also a good way to get over the 9 hr time difference jet-lag. I was tired the last few days and unable to sleep. So maybe the ride will "reset" me! I got there and then crossed the long bridge from Longview, WA to Rainier, OR to get on the OR side. From there, the route is less scenic, but faster and also I took the ferry and another smaller bridge over the Columbia to get back. A good day and I got the errand done!

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
