Rail trail trial run on another beautiful day here in the Boston area. Dry and sunny. Packed my panniers with clothes and tools ready for my OTET ride. A few steep hills and I struggled a little bit, but not too bad. My psoas was sore from the hills and my hamstring was sore before the ride, even though I had a good massage the day before. But, overall, it was fairly easy to keep a 13 mph pace on a flat ride. If we do 12 to 14 mph during the ride, we can ride about 5 hours of riding time, or 65 miles per day. I was able to go on a dirt road as part of the ARRT in Stow along the Assabet River, the bike was fine. Very bumpy around Lake Boon neighborhood, ending in a very steep hill too! I don't recommend it routinely.
