It was so windy today. It completely drowned out anything anyone was saying. Sad since this was Bobby's first official Peninsula Chapter Fatcake ride and wasn't great for chatting, not for me at least.
At Off The Grid, which I figured out why I couldn't see it last time, we ended up next to the live band. I hate to be a Grinch but I hate live bands while I'm trying to eat and even more so when I'm trying to talk to and hang out with friends. Music is for concerts and bars. Also a hot take, the live music is almost always bad. Not something I would listen to even if my intention was to go catch some good live music.
So last time, I wasn't wrong about not seeing any trucks because they weren't where they normally are. The parking lot they're normally in is now part of the new rec center they're building.
On the way back we got to enjoy some tailwind where I could talk and hear others.
My legs were okay but still felt tired if I tried to push.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
