Including the riding to and from home, the full stats are: 67.81 mi., 2,559 ft., 4h 34m. It was a good that we started early as there wasn't much traffic on the roads which was very nice. This ride passes more bakeries than I realized. Along with Mademoiselle Colette, Satura Cakes, Manresa Bread, Los Altos Sweet Shop, and the addition of Covour, there's also GK Pastry Los Altos and Woodside Bakery. I'm guessing there are probably even more. This route could be multiple stages all on its own. I wish I got photos of this but the entrance doors at Covour were confusing Anthony. Every time he went in and out, it was that Farside cartoon. :) The Pumpkin Pie Latte at Covour was WAY too sour for me. Weirdly, Antony didn't notice or think it was sour. For him it was too sweet. I thought it was pretty gross and probably my least favorite of the limited PSLs I've tried. I didn't realize it but the route goes by the old Steve Jobs house, which on Halloween, puts on a big production. Anthony actually went to it for Halloween yesterday. We got to see the aftermath as they were taking everything down. It was chilly to start and didn't really warm up until we got close to Mountain View. We weren't really hungry for more pastries when we got to Satura and Manresa. And we missed Sweet Shop opening by about half an hour. I've still never gone in. Heading back north, there was a headwind but it still seemed faster than the first half of the ride. It was funny to run into Tony B. again around Stanford. This was the fastest moving time of all the times I've done this route.
