Low 40’s when I rolled out at 830am. Decided to ditch the arm warmers and tights before I headed out the door. Wise choice as it warmed up to about 70 degrees by 10-ish.
Ashley gave me the heads up when I was a bit past halfway to Yorba Regional park from Green River that she wanted to ride with me so I agreed to wait for her at Yorba Regional park.
She wasn’t feeling at 💯% so we kind of took it easy, sort of… Not sure if it was this week of VO2 Max training or I dialed in my fueling and hydration better but I felt like a wild horse that needed to “let the dogs out” so I kept the pace a bit higher wattage wise than the training schedule set up for me today.
Right now back at home after just emptying my jersey pockets, taking off my shoes, helmet and gloves, my quads are suddenly talking to me in the language of lactic acid BIG TIME! That hasnt happened in decades!
I did add in about 10-15 10 seconds intervals on the inbound loop to make up for missing last Monday’s scheduled series…
Despite Ashley not feeling fully on, she still managed to lay down some impressive watts and held her focus on just getting in a descent ride on a beautiful day ☀️🦵🏾🦶🏽🫀🫁🚴🏾🚴🏽♀️

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
