Wind not quite as strong today but still a force to recon with. Today’s goal was to stay somewhere between 91 and 121 watts. Average came at 117 watts. So mission accomplished 👍🏾
Tapped out a few sections at 23 to 26 mph without going to deep into watt output or heart rate.

To those that live in the Inland Empire: Last year I noticed that along the Orange County Santa Ana River Trail they were bulldozing the river bottom. Back then I made a phone call to a friend who is retired from the San Be Water District to see if he knew anything about what this was about?
He explained one that geologists in OC had been doing deep drilling around the OC area and realized that every 200 yrs or so experiences a historical level flood in which the Santa Ana River here in the Inland Empire breaches its banks and they believe possibly even the levees the bike trail is upon from the Coast to our region!
The pictures in this ride are of a new and sudden move by Riverside County to do the same dredging as OC as fast and far up and down stream as they can.
I stopped and spoke to one of the engineers supervising. He confirmed all of this!

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
