What a great day for a hike. Matt (DadFish) organized the day picking me up at my RV with a muggle from work and off we went. After parking we headed out enjoying the weather and trail. The time along the bluff was in the warm sun which made us enjoy the shady sections even more. The trail to the falls off the main trail is marked as unmaintained and could be dangerous but we charged ahead anyhow. The last part to get down to the falls was described as difficult and it was. Ended up intentionally sliding on our butts a couple of times. We managed to get down as a team and were surprised to discover there were three waterfalls including the last one which was magnificent. We weren’t sure there would be much water given the drought but this thing is flowing beautifully and more greenery than I have seen in a long time. Given how difficult it was it is quite well used. We saw at least 20 people there and either coming or going down.
