Sunday 14th Sep 2014. My ride: Followers are John Hare, Chris Kinsey and Iain MacDonald. Tony Hopkins joins us until we near Uxbridge Common then opts for a trip to Moss End instead. Elevenses is at Moor Park Golf Club. Strictly speaking it's next to Moor Park near Moor Lane. Dave Peck has already arrived having gone the long, flat way around the N. Orbital.
After refreshments John, Chris, Iain and I head along the Ebury Way, then north through Whippendell Wood. At Chandlers Cross, John heads for Chipperfield, while the rest of us head for Hunton Bridge and lunch at The Kings Head. In retrospect it would have been better to visit on a Wednesday when the adjacent cafe is open, because the pub fare was a bit limited and expensive.
Onward to Kings Langley, followed by a good climb out of the valley, crossing the A41. On the homeward run now, via Chipperfield, where Chris leaves us. Iain and I continue through Sarratt and Loudwater then a path along the Chess river to Rickmansworth. Back to Denham Church via N. Orbital and Tilehouse Lane. Not a Loiterer in sight when we got there. Back to Uxbridge where Iain catches a train.
Weather mostly fine, occasional sun and a few light showers on the return leg.
Cheers Bernie

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
