Windy Sunny and cool… did a fairly good’s job of staying between 91 and 130 watts considering the wind and rolling terrain. Workout timed out on the way back from Redlands so I let Dragon 🔥🐲out… Felt good for a change . Then I rode through a swarm of honey bees and 2 ended up in my helmet and 1 on my right thigh. One of the helmet critters stung the right front area of my scalp. I was tapping along at 30 mph when it happened with enough cross wind that it took a bit to get stopped and get the bee off my thigh before it wigged out and then my helmet off. The stinging bee dumped its poison sack and stinger in my scalp and fell to the ground next to me and the other fell to the ground but got its bearings and flew off. It wasn’t until I got home that I realized my chest, arms, hands, glutes, inner thighs up high and waist line felt like I was covered in fire ants! I broke out in hives and swelling in all those areas within minutes of putting my bike away. Only areas that were covered by my cycling cloths and my inner ear canals seem to feel tingly. I’ve never had a bad reaction to bee stings before and I’ve been stung countless times growing up and starting my racing career in the Midwest which is loaded with bees everywhere. Makes me wonder if bees out here in this urban environment might be contaminated with glyphosate? Ever since glyphosate was first introduced in the US I’ve had to be very careful to stay away from grass or foliage that’s been sprayed with it and any foods containing glyphosate treatment. I’ve been home about 30 min now and had a shower and the tingling and itching seems to be dissipating… Weird 💩 👁️🧐✌🏾 🦶🏽🦵🏾🫁🫀💪🏾🚴🏾☀️🖖🏾
