Laos/ Vietnam 01/21/26: Muang Khua to Dien Bien Phu

Flowy first 10km out of Muang Khua then you start the first of two majn climbs. This was misty and in the shade for the morning. After the descent, refuel in this town as there’s limited opportunities before the second climb starts.

At the top of the second climb, look for the Laos immigration station. I missed this as the area was under major construction. You need to get your exit stamp from Laos here. Then continue 6km down to the Vietnamese border control.

Once in Vietnam, the descent is great but take care with thick dust near the quarry.
