Sustained 30 at 20/h. Quite undulant so a bit more e-boost than I hoped to need but I'm still feeling it in my legs. And before anybody complains that I'm using an e-bike, it's a 250w e-assist, I'm not a competitive rider (never was!) and I'm finally getting some legs back after a heart attack 5 years ago.
My goal is to reduce, even remove, the need for the electric assist before I'm ready to embark on a ride through Europe in 18 months to 2 years. The last thing I want to be relying on is a collection of piecemeal 100Wh batteries (cabin luggage safe regs) and hauling an extra 10 kg bike weight. (Because that's what a Bafang BBS01 and a 720Wh battery weighs!) I'll keep working on reducing the boost and on longer rides up steeper hills until I can cut out the electrickery or my ticker pops for the last ever time.
Anyway, this is the goal, use the electrickery until I get my 20km/h cruising average back without it. Today was the first time I've achieved a rolling average of 20km/h since my heart attack in 2020. Next is to complete this and other routes like it with less boost for the same speed, then push the steeper gradients with less boost as I build more strength. It's a training tool, I don't race, I'm cheating nobody. The heart attack I had "should have killed me," so those who judge me are a bit mental in my books

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
