08-25-11 Thurs 5:30 AM ride.

As I exited the house, I heard a hissing sound. By the time I got to the end of the street, I realized it was my front tire. I returned home and changed the flat. Checking the radar it showed that Irene was still east and the feeder bands were not near us. I knew that I could intercept the group at 5:55 at the corner of Westview and University. Right on time they arrived. We did 3 or 4 10 min intervals. It was a little harder than usual since we didn't have Mario setting the pace. He rides by power and leads a very steady ride. Several people took turns leading and we had some surges that were difficult to catch from the back. Caught some rain from Irene about 2 mi from home.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
