CCAE Stef 26W6, Pine Hill, Emerson's Cliff, & around Walden Pond

Started at the Walden Town Forest Parking lot. Was icy/snowy from the start, so stopped to put on our Yak-Traks or Microspikes. Then encountered deep mud going up a slope. After that it wasn't too bad - either inches of snow/broken ice to slog thru, or dry beautiful trails!
Weather was supposed to be iffy for rain and otherwise cloudy, however it was around 50-degrees and often sunny! Definitely everyone was shedding layers as the hike progressed, especially after some serious climbs. This was a wonderful gorgeous hike, perfect for a Spring day.
(GPS seemed to glitch again a bit, recording over 5 miles when it was really about 4 miles.)

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
