Natalie originally wanted to do Coyote Hills again today and Ali was going to be on the Peninsula so we had a plan.
Then there was rain in the forecast and Natalie decided she needed some rest but Ali was still game.
It rained this morning but the ground was dry by lunch. And then it started to rain on the way over to the start. Luckily it only rained for the first 10 minutes of the ride.
Ali wanted to bail but ai had an extra rain jacket for her so she had no excuse.
I guess because of the rain, there were tons of snails out in the middle of the trails. We tried our best to avoid them but there were spots where that wasn’t possible.
I didn’t know Ali hadn’t been to Coyote Hills before so of course we had to go to the top of said hills. It’s so steep though.
It was cloudy but there was a pocket of clear sky over Foster City and while we were returning on the levee, the Sun broke through for a beautiful sunset.
The levee was just wet enough I guess that the mud was sticking to our tires. It wasn’t so bad for my knobbies but it clogged up Ali’s tires pretty badly.
A really nice ride despite the rain and mud.
