Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

The weather was cold. Enough to wear 2 base layers, arms, knees, cap, and face mask. The winds were from the north. On the way out, I had enough layers. I felt comfortable in terms staying warm. I cruised the descent. Soft pedaling most of the way. My legs felt good for most of the ride. I was warm from the beginning, so I didn't have that urgency to sprint to the top of the descent. When I reached the bottom of Keene, I removed my face mask and cap. I decided to keep my knees and knee warmers on for the duration of the climb. I had my jersey half open for most of the ascent. Suffice it to say, I didn't feel like I was getting too warm with the clothes I decided to keep on. Concentration was 50/50. The descent was dizzying. Concentration was out the window. The wind does strange things sometimes, and today was no exception. The other 50% was the climb. For the most part, I felt better concentrated. Not great, I had to coach myself some of the way. But definitely better than the descent. Ailments, was one of the greater of the ride attributes. Basically none, but exhaustion and mental fatigue as to be expected. Balance was the greater of things. I think the speed play pedals are starting to work a bit of magic for my legs. Other notes... I had to check the charity map 2 x. One of which the app had to be resumed. No biggy there, I'll just to the same until either the bugs are worked out, or I can figure out what the best settings are for my smartphone.
