Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today was a huge improvement from the previous ride. Most notably, my stomach cramps were next to none. I did have a hint of cramping before the ride, but it was mild and I remedied it with some milk of magnesia. Fortunately, the cramps didn't escalate, but actually got better as the ride progressed. The weather was fantastic. 70ish degrees. Winds from the south. It was a blast on the way downhill, reaching speeds over 40MPH, but of course, given the southerly winds, I had a headwind for the majority of the ride. My concentration wasn't great, but I'd say it was a little above average. I did good time to the base of the climb, as is expected from a tailwind assist. The return trip was mostly steady tempo. Getting in and out of the saddle to keep the momentum going while riding into the headwind. Going over the loop monument was a challenge, I was out of the saddle for a good portion of that riser. Once I got over the loop monument, I decreased the pace just a bit and kept it steady to the summit. Ailments consisted of soreness in the right knee that persisted no more than 2 or 3 minutes. My right hand was numb on more than a few occasions. Balance was real good. Gear is working well, although the Gopro camera stopped recording. I'm not sure if it was my fault. I think it just needed to be reset. Other notes: The Charity Miles app is working good today. I checked it only once, while at the base of Keene. I think it was off by about 2 or 3 miles in the end. Given that I have a nice camera on the smartphone, I want to take more photos. Today had some interesting fog/haze towards the base of Keene, I was tempted to stop and take some photos, but I couldn't find a suitable subject to complement the rare weather condition. I'm thinking of going to SS with my mountain bike. I want to drive out to the SS golf park and ride up into the canyons of that area. I'll definitely take some photos while I'm there.
