05/28/26 Day 13 of RWTG

Today we left the charming mushroom capitol of Greece, Grevena and headed north to Kastoria. This ride exemplified how there is so much more to Greece than what what you see in the travel brochures. The ride started with rolling hills that reminded me a bit of far eastern Washington. Fields of various crops including large fields of flowers. Very beautiful. In the distance we could see snow capped mountains. Kastoria is an old city on a lake. Mike and I did a really nice walk into the park on the large promontory going into the lake. We found a deer sanctuary (maybe prison), a church, and a lounge with a great view down to the city.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
