Titled after the sixth track on Audioslave's 2006 album, "Revelations", this pedal is Trek #6 of the Revelations Series. Back to Templeton for first time in quite awhile, this one spurred by going deep in the route archives to November 2013 when I was joining the BBZ crowd at Dark Nectar for a weekend informal coffee and pedal gatherings. Good to see roads I fondly recall; both the Pomar's and that nice stretch of The Nimmo Memorial section of CA 41, for example. I don't recall Camp 8 Road being so pothole-marked and rough, but those stretches where asphalt had most recently been laid and had seen some traffic certainly compensated. A note here that Geneseo, the entrance to which I passed today at Mile 20, looks closed to through traffic until February. Also: Watch some of those hairpin turns where sandy gravel have built up in what would otherwise be ample roadway to make out-of-traffic turns so it gets pretty slick and slippery. An older Templeton resident was intrigued enough at my gearing up that he stopped to chat awhile about alternate battery power storage and the use of capacitors to generate energy for charging phones and lights on bicycles. Think I've settled nicely on a battery pack that I can charge here at HQ and plug into iPhone when battery life is at 20% or so.
