From Sauna to Broiler - 06/09/2026

Cloudy, warm (upper 70s) and extremely humid (dew point of 74°F!) greeted everyone on Gene's usual Tuesday ride to Sycamore. Patti J lead a group of 10 including Wally, Steve O, Tom B, Chet, Dave F, Chris T, Mark W and Jim. SW winds of 5-10 mph increased around the turnaround point. Dave and I grabbed ice water and a snack at Coroco, before joining the group on the way back. The clouds soon parted, allowing the broiler to be switched to High. Maiden voyage with my Camelbak SS Podium bottles, which kept water ice cold for the entire ride. Steve, Wally, Dave and I grabbed a quick lunch at Obscurity.

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
