A complex stage with an intricate profile and a few design challenges. The mountains start here, and you will feel it immediately after departure. The ascent to Kaltenbrunn is not especially demanding, but it will still get your legs working. After that, you will follow a nice bike path to Klais before transitioning to the road. The St2542 looks nice on the map, but in reality, it is quite busy; it would probably be better to follow the bike path to Krün and use the Buckelwiesen road to ride south.
After Mittenwald, the route runs along perfect gravel roads with amazing Karwendel views! Next, a long and quite demanding climb to Seefeld follows. The descent into the Inn Valley is rough gravel with steep gradients—ride with extreme caution, or simply walk. While the segment along the Inn cycle path is nice, the road after Innsbruck is steep and heavy with traffic. It is better to make a detour via Aldrans/Lans. The road along the Brenner is nice, though it has quite a few ups and downs. Regardless, there is no better alternative.
The stage is nice overall, but a couple of sections could definitely be replanned for a better experience.
