Ride back from the Doukhobor Caves, and a stop at the Big Tree. With Lynne.

After a wonderful evening in our little cabin we were treated to a traditional Doukhobor Breakfast of Pyrahi, a pastry filled with cottage cheese, and Blintsi, a crepe served with strawberry jam and sour cream. We were well fuelled for the ride back. We had heard that the nearby Biggest Tree in Saskatchewan had died, but we found it alive and well. With light and variable winds we rolled home on beautiful smooth gravel roads, only meeting three vehicles the whole way, not counting the short stretch on highway 12 and coming back into Saskatoon, where we were almost hit by a left turning truck at 22th and Dawes. There is a new art installation in Diefenbaker Park. it’s worth checking out.

    Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
