Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Today was an unusual summer day. I got up, anticipating that I would get out early, for a double. When I was about to depart, it started to rain. It kept raining for about 15 minutes. In the meantime, I was thinking of a contingency plan. I decided to hop on Zwft and do the Watopia Hilly Route. So, I got going and was thinking what I should do in the next few days. Critical that I put in a double, about 1 week before the TGF, so that I can properly taper. Since this ride takes over an hour, I calculated that the streets might be dry by then. I made my way to the summit of the first climb. Took a peak outside, the streets were still wet. So, I did the bonus climb and made my way back to the start / finish. It was about 1:15 hrs or so. I took another peak outside, and the streets were dry. In the end, I decided to take advantage of the weather and go to Keene. As for the Watopia ride, I kept the tempo nice and steady. I tried to keep my HR below 140. The body responded well. I was able to complete the ride well within my limits.
