had a great night's sleep, listening to the waves all night. woke up to a wet tent as I already knew that was coming due to my proximity with the ocean. had a cup of coffee as the sun came over the hill and hit the beach. it was a surreal moment knowing that this was my last day on the route. I quickly packed had an orange and hit the rode a little after 7. very cool! brisk morning cruising up the coast. I added an extra 10 mile loop around the three capes as an added extension of the route. it was so beautiful, stopped at a coffee shop in Oceanside and went down this closed road with nobody on it and overgrow trees that was beautiful. I then rolled into Tillamook right as the creamery was opening. I went on a sefl guided tour, ate some amazing cheese and got myself an ice cream cone. I was soon back on the road. there was wind but I was mostly guarded from it most of the day. had some elevation but all the hills were under 1k. Went through some really cool Ocean towns in the 101 but had to deal with some heavier traffic due to all the tourist. Had a tight corner with an oversized semi truck and an empty logging truck in a tunnel, other than that it was a good day perfect cooler temps with beautiful ocean views! I took my time stopping a lot for coffe, pictures and food. I can't believe my ride is coming to an end. The Oregon coat is spectacular! I cam into Astoria late in the day and finished at the Maritime museum with not a person around except some ladies in the distance that hear me yelling! I definitely had mixed feelings about the end but I am mostly grateful to have this opportunity to do/reach this goal and all the love and support for all my friends and family. It's been an amazing ride with some amazing moments that I will never forget! Thank you, thank you!
