The weather is warming up. It was in the low 80's when I got out. Winds from the North West. I wore the standard summer kit. The legs were a bit heavy to start, but got better as the ride went on. I made it to the top of the descent in good average time. I put in two digs on the risers as I was making my way down the mountain. I reached the base in good average time. After making it there, I headed back. The climbing legs kicked in pretty quick. I was doing in and out of the saddle efforts to keep my tempo going. The landmarks went quick. As I was approaching the summit, I guessed the number of songs playing on my MP3 speaker to get there. I made it with one song to spare. After reaching the summit, I pulled over to recover and then headed back home. I practiced no-handed riding for a few moments. I shut it down that the top of Weston.
Concentration was good. I had stuff to think about. Patience was in check and the morale was on the positive side. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. Just the usual hand soreness. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal before departing. I drank most of my sport drink, no water. Gear worked flawlessly. Other notes, I saw one e-cyclist on his way down as I was starting the climb back from Keene. That was the last I saw of him.
