The weather is supposed to heat up today. I had stuff to do in the early morning. Fortunately, I was able to get things squared away before it got too late. It was less than 80 degrees when I got out. Winds from the North West. The legs felt good to start. I don't know what it is, but I lost a lot of weight. I just weighed in at just over 126 lbs. So, I am about 6 to 8 pounds under my normal weight. I felt the difference. Things felt more light. I was a bit confused as to why when I was riding. I made it to the top of OTR in good time. The Banducci Wall had traffic mitigation. I was near max going over the top, but had matches to burn. The Arosa climb went quick. Before I knew it, I was at the speed bumps. I was debating on turning around at the top of Arosa and then adding a Buffalo Run. I decided to do the Alpine Forest loop. As I exited the Alpine forest on the top side I made my way to the top of Banducci. For no reason, the Blendr mount for my GoPro camera broke. The camera fell right onto the tarmac. I had to turn around to grab it before it got run over. Fortunately, it didn't sustain much damage, but now I have to look for a more reliable GPS / Camera configuration. I made it to the summit in good time. After making it there, I pulled over to relax and recover. Shortly after, I headed back down the mountain. There was a lot of traffic from behind, so I slowed down and stayed to the right side to let them by. Descending off the Banducci Wall was safe, I let traffic by and feathered the brakes most of the way down. Descending off OTR was mostly relaxing. I pushed over Mariposa and a nice dig to the top of Weston where I shut it down.
Concentration was good. I had good news in the morning, so the morale felt good going into the ride. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. Just some mild hand soreness. Nutrition was good. I drank all of my sport drink, no water. I had bowl of oatmeal for breakfast and a banana before departing. Gear worked flawlessly, except for the broken camera mount. The new bar tape feels good. The new brake lever hoods also felt good. I have to add some protection near the base of the hoods to extend the life of the handlebar tape.
