It's getting time to have to adjust my departure moment. I got out around 11AM-ish. The weather was in the upper 70's. Turbulent wind conditions. I made it to the summit of the descent in good time. I put in two digs on the risers. The wind was on my back for those brief moments. As I was descending, the wind seemed to have changed directions. To, my liking. I made it to the base of Keene in good time. With no time to spare, I headed back. The climb went quick. The body was responding well. I had a modest tail-wind most of the way up. I had some things to think about, so that helped the miles go by quicker. I was concentrating on the landmarks as usual. As I was ascending, I noticed that I was getting signs of hunger in the stomach. I was about 2 miles from the summit. I had just enough Accelerdate left. (Keeping in mind that I mixed 2/3rds of a serving today). My body responded well to that amount. No signs of pains and such. I decided to drink what I had left before reaching the summit. I told myself, that if I do the Spooktakular ride, and this happens, I would pull over and feed a power bar, or at least 1/2 of one. That was the lesson of the day. Ailments were next to none. Gear worked well. Balance and form felt good. Other notes, I saw one cyclist today.
