Today's weather was perfect for WS. I got up late and I had to drop off a package by 2pm. I was planning on going to WS then the Alpine Forest. So, I had to do the numbers in my head while riding. The wind was from the South East. I made it to the end of OTR in good time. I had incentive, so this ride went quick. The outbound to WS was mostly moderate tempo. But, I wasn't holding back too much either. When I reached the turn-around point, I spent no time to wait and headed back. The return was a treat, as I had a generous tail-wind. I was constantly scanning the road for thorns. The last thing I needed today was a flat. Fortunately, no punctures today. The last kickers on Highline went quick. I was near max, over the summit. The downhill was fun. Pushing near 40MPH with the aid of the tail-wind. I decided to head up the Banducci wall and see how much time I had left. When I reached the top of the wall, I noticed I had time to complete the climb. I made my way to the summit, no time to spare. Let traffic by and headed back. From here on, was mostly fun and games. I had to stop once to swap out batteries on the GoPro . Concentration felt real good. I had incentive, so that gave me reason to stay focused. Balance and form was good. Ailments, next to none. Gear worked flawless. Other notes.. I saw 2 or 3 cyclists today. I'm still undecided if I want to do the Spooktacular metric century. I'm on track, in terms of fitness. But $60 is a lot to pay. More deciding later. In the meantime, I'm going to ride Alpine Forest + Tour de Teh (SS,R) on my next ride. Or, at least, that's my tentative plan.
