A bit of a struggle on the way out with the wind buffeting us from the side or head on to Kilham Bridge then head on all the way into Kirk and Town Yetholm, it didn't seem to slow us down much as we averaged 13.5mph all the way round which is good for us so we must've been pushing hard! Hard enough that even with extra stops and longer ones so we arrived at the Plough Hotel after 12:00 as they tend to not be fully open until then, we still arrived before 12:00! Sadly they were closed for a funeral, which can't be helped. The lass there directed us to the deli which we found does excellent coffee and cakes. We sat outside the Hotel in the sun and enjoyed both, the ride home had been assumed would be quick with the wind behind us but it didn't seem to be there however, the ride home was quicker than usual. Only one impatient driver today, on the way to Kirk Yetholm approaching a lefthand bend he/she couldn't wait till we got round it and overtook going into the apex, luckily nothing was coming the other way as there was nowhere to go if there had been. Bloody rear mech is still 'auto' changing and slipping once in a while, no matter what I do!
